Bio
Amna Abbas, is a Lahore-based multidisciplinary artist. She has exhibited at her final BFA Degree Show at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, in 2023.
She was part of an exhibition by School Of Tomorrow Events at Pakistan National Council of Arts, Islamabad, in 2023. She has earned a Distinction in her BFA Degree. Also she holds a position on the Dean’s Honor List and is awarded a Merit-Based Scholarship from 2020-2023.
There is a subjective lens present in her work. She mainly works in mixed media about the idea of spaces transcending by the concerns of being in a state of aloofness and alienation as the impacts of – the ambivalence, wavering, nostalgic feelings that reflect the state of mind as a result of past and present experiences and surroundings. She has also worked around the concepts and concerns of interdisciplinary, oneness-unity-racism and sustainability.
